WSSI is seeking a stream and wetland restoration designer to be a part of a multi-disciplinary team at the forefront of developing and implementing innovative approaches to stream and wetland restoration. Projects will restore diverse, high-quality and resilient ecosystems across a wide variety of environments, from confined, urban sites to the headwaters of the Appalachian Mountains, across the eastern United States.

WSSI is seeking a Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4)/Stormwater Coordinator. This is is a technical position responsible for assisting the WSSI MS4 Lead in the coordination and implementation of all aspects of MS4 Programs. The candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with the six Minimum Control Measures (MCM) and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) compliance which includes public education and outreach, public involvement and participation, illicit discharge detection & elimination, construction, post construction and pollution prevention/good housekeeping.

WSSI is seeking a civil/environmental/water resources engineer interested in wetlands, streams, and water resources. Projects will include stream restoration, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, low impact development, wetlands mitigation design, FEMA map revisions, and floodplain studies.

WSSI is seeking a civil, environmental, water resources or biological engineer with a passion for restoring degraded streams and wetlands, a strong work ethic with a commitment to excellence, and a desire to create innovative restoration solutions. Projects will include collaborative stream and wetland restoration design, assessing sites and developing restoration solutions, hydrodynamic modeling for flood vulnerability assessment of restoration design, development of concept level, permit ready and constructible project drawings, creation and use of high-resolution terrain datasets, contributing to project proposals, mitigation plans and other reports.

Role will be primarily fieldwork based, serving as team lead on project sites to conduct wetland delineations, forest stand delineations, natural resource inventory studies, and more.

WSSI is seeking a highly motivated mid-level Arborist/Urban Forestry Consultant (5+ years of experience) to join our urban forestry team as an urban forester with a business development focus. This position is focused on providing business development, marketing, and sales support to help grow WSSI’s urban forestry/arboricultural consulting, for all WSSI’s regional offices with a specific focus on the VA/MD/DC market, while assisting with project management and conducting field work.
