Why let a beautiful, restored stream go unexplored? See how WSSI & local organizations encourage adventure with the annual Reston Kids’ Trout Fishing Day!
Reston’s streams – once eyesores with eroding banks and toppling trees – have been restored and are now a community retreat for fun and good ole fashioned family bonding. The annual Reston Kids’ Trout Fishing Day is a free event held every March to get families interacting with their local, restored streams.
Children get out and catch their first fish, and parents and families enjoy how stream restoration has improved the water quality and the stream banks – making the stream more fun to explore!
